I am the proud owner of Allison’s Therapy Corner. I earned my Master’s degree from the University of North Texas. I have extensive experience in a variety of areas of speech-language pathology including: feeding/swallowing disorders, fluency disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Augmentative & Alternative communication, and more. Cognitive, motor speech, speech-language, and swallowing disorders can be frustrating, but therapy doesn’t have to be! It is my passion to serve children and their families!
I a wonderful husband, Caleb, three beautiful sons Carson, Cam, and Caden and Link, our energetic goldendoodle. We enjoy attending Church with friends and family, playing ultimate frisbee, playing board games, being active, and spending time with family & friends!

Shelby Holt earned her Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Southern Mississippi. She has many years of experience working with a variety of clients with Articulation, Receptive/Expressive language, Feeding, Fluency disorders Autism Spectrum Disorder, and more. She is a trained therapist in the SOS (Sequential- Oral- Sensory) approach to feeding. Shelby enjoys serving children and helping them reach their fullest potential. She has a husband, Justin, beautiful daughter, Riley, and their fun loving dog, Rowdy. Shelby enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading books, and trying new restaurants.

Grace Greene earned her Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Baylor University. She has experience working with a variety of clients with Articulation/Phonological Disorders, Receptive/Expressive Language Disorders, Augmentative & Alternative Communication, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Fluency Disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and more. She is a trained therapist in the SOS (Sequential- Oral- Sensory) approach to feeding. Grace has a passion for helping children communicate just like a Speech-Pathologist did for her as a child. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, taking Pilates classes, and going to Summer Moon!

Shanielle earned her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Texas. She has experience evaluating and treating a variety of speech sound, receptive/expressive/pragmatic language disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, speech fluency, voice and swallowing disorders. After being introduced to the field of speech-language pathology during her undergraduate study of music education at Harding University, Shanielle was immediately captivated by the ways in which speech-language pathologists can make an impact for individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties. Her passion is partnering with clients and their family to empower them in their therapy experience! Shanielle loves to be outdoors in the sun, play musical instruments, and is active with her Valley Creek Church family in a variety of roles.

Shelby Freeman earned her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Abilene Christian University. She has experience evaluating and preparing treatment for clients with Articulation/Phonological Disorders, Receptive/Expressive Language Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Augmentative & Alternative Communication, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Fluency Disorders, and more. Shelby was introduced to the field of Speech-Language Pathology as a child receiving services herself for a phonological disorder, and from there her love for the field grew. Shelby has a passion for service and strives to make a positive and lasting impact in the lives of her clients and their family. Shelby spends her free time with her family and friends, going on runs, and going shopping!

Elise earned her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Dallas. She loves speech and believes in making therapy fun and functional for all clients. Her specialties include language development in autistic children, gestalt language processing/echolalia, and early language intervention. She has clinical experience in the areas of pediatric speech-sound disorders, language disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, and feeding. She is passionate about providing speech and language services so her clients can feel confident and empowered to communicate their own stories and ideas to members of their community on a daily basis. She enjoys writing, hiking nature trails, enjoying a good book or movie, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Carly Smith earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Abilene Christian University. She had the opportunity to work with a variety of pediatric disorders in graduate school including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder, and more. Carly has a passion for helping children become more independent in their daily life through creative and engaging activities. She has been called a “walking Pinterest board,” and especially enjoys jewelry making, wedding florals, traveling and photography.

Julie Whitfield, OTD, OTR
Certified Occupational Therapist; Lead Occupational Therapist
Julie recently earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Texas Tech University after receiving her Master’s degree in OT from Texas Woman’s University. Her extensive pediatric background consists of clinical experience in outpatient and home health settings as well as professional experience in special education classrooms. Julie is passionate about education, values family-centered care, and believes in play-based interventions that are fun and keep children excited about therapy! She has a particular interest in early childhood and milestone development. For her Doctoral capstone project, she developed a curriculum for caregivers on purposeful play and motor skills in infants and toddlers. A native of Houston, Julie moved to DFW in 2010 and lives in North Fort Worth with her sweet rescue dog, Griffin. She enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, traveling, attending performing arts events, and watching Hallmark movies.
