Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Autism Therapy

Your child is a child first. Every day at Allison’s Therapy Corner, we build on that truth. Through play, creativity, and connection, we help children learn life skills that bring joy and confidence — one step, one smile, one success at a time.

If your child has been diagnosed with autism or shows developmental differences, we’re here to help. Our clinics in Keller, Alliance (Fort Worth), and Grapevine provide warm, family-centered autism therapy (ABA) that blends play with proven science — helping your child grow in communication, independence, and connection.

What Is Autism Therapy?

Autism therapy helps children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) learn skills that make daily life easier — like communicating, making friends, and managing emotions.

At Allison’s Therapy Corner, we use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) — a science-based approach that teaches through encouragement, structure, and fun. Kids learn by doing and celebrating progress, not perfection.

For example, one child might practice asking for a favorite snack using words or pictures instead of crying. Another might learn to take turns during a game or share a toy with a sibling for the first time. Over time, these moments build the foundation for independence and social confidence.

Autism therapy doesn’t just teach skills — it helps your child feel understood, capable, and proud of every step forward.

How Autism Therapy Works at Allison’s Therapy Corner

We believe growth happens when therapy feels natural — full of play, laughter, and connection. At Allison’s Therapy Corner, our Autism therapy programs are built on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the gold-standard approach for helping children with developmental differences.

  • Every child’s plan is individualized

Our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) create custom goals for your child, and our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) work one-on-one each day to build communication, social, and self-help skills.

Sessions are active and engaging. Every day includes a mix of crafts, songs, group games, gym time, and playful learning — because therapy should feel like fun, not work. One child might work on sequencing steps to brush teeth using a visual chart, while another practices greeting a friend during playtime.

We also collaborate closely with our in-house Speech and Occupational Therapists. Our speech team collaborates with your child’s ABA team to learn how to practice expressive language during play, and our RBTs and BCBAs may join parts of ST or OT sessions to support consistency across goals.

Therapy often continues outside our clinic walls. We encourage parents to practice skills at home and in natural environments — such as play dates, playgrounds, or sensory-friendly activities in the community. These real-life experiences help children generalize skills and turn therapy goals into everyday confidence.

Schedule your child’s evaluation today to discover how our team can create a plan that fits your family’s goals.

  • We focus on reinforcement

Children learn best when they feel successful. We celebrate progress and small wins, helping positive behaviors grow naturally through encouragement, praise, and play.

  • Play and real-life experiences

Learning happens everywhere — during games, crafts, snack time, and pretend play. Therapy feels fun and natural so your child stays engaged and confident.

  • Skills are practiced across settings

We help children use new skills in everyday situations — at the table, in the playroom, or outside — so what they learn in therapy carries over to home and school.

What to Expect

To receive ABA services with us, your child must have an official diagnosis of Autism. From your first phone call to your child’s first “I did it!” moment, we’ll be right beside you. Here’s what the process looks like step-by-step:

  • 1

    Free Consultation

We’ll start with a phone call and/or in-person tour to learn about your child and your family’s goals. You can ask questions, share challenges, and get a feel for whether our team is the right fit.

  • 2

    Initial Assessment

Your child meets with a BCBA for a comprehensive evaluation. We observe communication, social skills, behaviors, and sensory preferences. Parents are involved — your insight helps shape the plan and ensures your priorities are front and center.

  • 3

    Individualized Treatment Plan

After assessment, your BCBA creates an individualized plan with measurable goals. You’ll review and approve everything before we begin. Collaboration is key — we make sure goals feel meaningful to you and your child.

  • 4

    Insurance Authorization

We handle the insurance process for you. Approval typically takes 2–6 weeks, depending on the provider. Our team keeps you updated so there are no surprises.

  • 5

    Ongoing Therapy

Once therapy begins, your child will work one-on-one with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), guided by their BCBA. Sessions are interactive and adaptive — balancing structured learning with teaching.

Collaboration with Schools and Families

Therapy requires multiple efforts — your child’s success depends on teamwork. We regularly collaborate with teachers and outside providers such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Music Therapists, Counselors, and Play Therapists to support consistent routines and shared goals between settings.

We can coordinate strategies with school or outside therapies for a seamless learning experience. We love hearing when teachers or other providers share that a child is raising their hand more in class or handling transitions more calmly — small victories that make a big impact.

Family involvement is just as important. You’ll always know what’s happening in therapy and how to continue progress at home — whether it’s using a picture schedule, practicing social scripts, or celebrating milestones together.

Our Team & Approach

At Allison’s Therapy Corner, you’re not just getting one therapist — you’re gaining a team that truly cares, communicates, and works together to support your child’s growth. From your very first visit, we take time to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and needs so we can build a plan that fits your family. Your child’s care team may include:

Our staff are deeply experienced and passionate about helping kids succeed. Many have worked in schools, clinics, and family homes across Texas — bringing years of insight into what helps children thrive.

We meet weekly to review data, celebrate progress, and fine-tune strategies. This ongoing collaboration ensures every plan stays fresh, responsive, and personalized.

Parents often tell us they can “feel the love” the moment they walk through our doors — and that’s exactly how we want it to be.

Our guiding verse is Matthew 19:14:

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”

This heart for children shapes everything we do — from how we greet your family to how we celebrate your child’s smallest victories.

Frequently Asked Questions

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a key method used in Autism therapy. At ATC, we utilize ABA with play, speech, and daily activities — so children learn not just behaviors, but real-world skills that matter in everyday life.

Most children attend therapy 24–40 hours per week, depending on goals and schedule. Your BCBA will tailor the plan to your child’s age, stamina, and developmental needs.

Absolutely. We hold weekly or monthly parent trainings so you can apply techniques at home and feel confident supporting your child’s progress.

Parents cannot observe ongoing sessions due to other clients being present; however, parent trainings can include one-on-one instruction time with the BCBA, RBT, and your child to help you observe, participate, and learn hands-on.

Every child’s timeline is different, but many families notice changes — like better communication, calmer routines, or new play skills — within the first few months. Progress builds through consistency and teamwork.

Yes. We offer flexible schedules including part-time mornings, afternoons, or three full days a week, depending on availability. We’ll help you find the schedule that works best for your family.
