Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Services

Behind every breakthrough moment in therapy, there’s a caring professional guiding your child — our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). At Allison’s Therapy Corner, our RBTs bring patience and compassion into every session. They help turn therapy goals into joyful little victories that build confidence, connection, and independence.

If you’re looking for a team that truly celebrates progress — no matter how small — schedule an evaluation today at our Keller or Grapevine clinic.

What Is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)?

A Registered Behavior Technician is a trained and certified professional who works directly with your child to carry out a customized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

RBTs help children build communication, social, and life skills through positive reinforcement, and repetition in a safe, supportive setting.

Think of your RBT as the “coach” who’s there every session — encouraging your child, celebrating each success, and gently guiding them through challenges.

RBTs often become a child’s favorite part of the day. Kids run to greet them at the door, eager to play, learn, and succeed. That bond is what makes therapy at Allison’s Therapy Corner so effective — your child feels safe, supported, and truly seen.

How RBT Works at Allison’s Therapy Corner

At Allison’s Therapy Corner, RBTs work hand-in-hand with your child and the supervising BCBA to bring therapy goals to life. Every RBT session is designed to make progress feel natural and fun — not forced or stressful.

  • Here’s what the process looks like:

    • Comprehensive Assessment – Your journey starts with a BCBA assessment that looks at your child’s strengths, challenges, and family priorities.
    • Personalized Plan – Together, we build goals that matter to your child — like asking for help, sharing toys, or staying focused during play.
    • Daily RBT Sessions – Your RBT works one-on-one with your child, using visual supports, and positive reinforcement to teach new skills.
    • Ongoing Collaboration – We share progress updates, videos, and notes so you’re always in the loop. Parents are encouraged to observe and ask questions anytime.
    • Real-Life Practice – Skills learned in the clinic carry over into home and community settings — whether that’s greeting a friend at Keller Pointe or exploring the sensory-friendly trails near Grapevine Lake.
  • One-on-One, Consistent Support

Your child works directly with a trained and certified RBT who provides steady, individualized guidance. This consistent relationship helps your child feel comfortable, supported, and ready to grow.

  • Structured Sessions Backed by BCBA Planning

Every session follows a clear treatment plan created by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). RBTs use step-by-step teaching methods and positive reinforcement to help your child build meaningful skills with confidence.

  • Skills Practiced Across Daily Routines

RBTs help children practice new skills during daily moments — like getting ready, transitions, or mealtime — so progress carries into home and school.

What to Expect

To receive ABA services with us, your child must have an official diagnosis of Autism. From your first phone call to your child’s first “I did it!” moment, we’ll be right beside you. Here’s what the process looks like step-by-step:

  • 1

    Free Consultation

We’ll start with a phone call and/or in-person tour to learn about your child and your family’s goals. You can ask questions, share challenges, and get a feel for whether our team is the right fit.

  • 2

    Initial Assessment

Your child meets with a BCBA for a comprehensive evaluation. We observe communication, social skills, behaviors, and sensory preferences. Parents are involved — your insight helps shape the plan and ensures your priorities are front and center.

  • 3

    Individualized Treatment Plan

After assessment, your BCBA creates an individualized plan with measurable goals. You’ll review and approve everything before we begin. Collaboration is key — we make sure goals feel meaningful to you and your child.

  • 4

    Insurance Authorization

We handle the insurance process for you. Approval typically takes 2–6 weeks, depending on the provider. Our team keeps you updated so there are no surprises.

  • 5

    Ongoing Therapy

Once therapy begins, your child will work one-on-one with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), guided by their BCBA. Sessions are interactive and adaptive — balancing structured learning with teaching.

Collaboration with Schools and Families

Therapy requires multiple efforts — your child’s success depends on teamwork. We regularly collaborate with teachers and outside providers such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Music Therapists, Counselors, and Play Therapists to support consistent routines and shared goals between settings.

We can coordinate strategies with school or outside therapies for a seamless learning experience. We love hearing when teachers or other providers share that a child is raising their hand more in class or handling transitions more calmly — small victories that make a big impact.

Family involvement is just as important. You’ll always know what’s happening in therapy and how to continue progress at home — whether it’s using a picture schedule, practicing social scripts, or celebrating milestones together.

Our Team & Approach

Every RBT at Allison’s Therapy Corner is certified through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and receives ongoing training in ABA methods, child development, and communication strategies. Our RBTs are supervised closely by our experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts, ensuring therapy is consistent, evidence-based, and effective.

Our approach is collaborative. RBTs work alongside your entire therapy team:

Our staff are deeply experienced and passionate about helping kids succeed. Many have worked in schools, clinics, and family homes across Texas — bringing years of insight into what helps children thrive.

We meet weekly to review data, celebrate progress, and fine-tune strategies. This ongoing collaboration ensures every plan stays fresh, responsive, and personalized.

Parents often tell us they can “feel the love” the moment they walk through our doors — and that’s exactly how we want it to be.

Our guiding verse is Matthew 19:14:

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”

This heart for children shapes everything we do — from how we greet your family to how we celebrate your child’s smallest victories.
